Dear Prince, I am not much aware of New Horizon College. But if anyone asks me about the Computer Science and Engineering programme, then I always recommend LPU for this. I have also done my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good for LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities all over the world. I am not quite aware of New Horizon but I must say that LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU is far way ahead with any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure and placements. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Dear Student, it depends on your interest but yes CSE indeed is a good program to do from LPU. Students develop competence in areas like Programming, Database Management Systems, Networks and Security, Operating Systems, Cloud Computing etc. To enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with Oracle and SAP. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide a WILD CARD entry to the industry. Placement percentage for the year 2017 was 98%.
