As per the website of Thapar university, it has got 282 companies visiting the campus and with 994 offers. Compare it to LPU : it attracts more than 300 companies only for its CSE . With 650 companies in total out of which more than 60 offer above 10LPA, 100 are from fortune 500 and more than 100 which come to LPU only other than IITs & Iims ! Moreover LPU places over 6 K students every year which in itself is a great FEAT. So LPU has a higher bandwidth with regards to placements than Thapar.

Campus placement at Lovely Professional University has always been a sought after event for the final year students. Division of Career Services sets up recruitment drives and job fairs on a regular basis. Apart from this, it also extends abundant facilities such as resume writing sessions, career advisory services, and aptitude development workshops to proffer better placement to the students. Industry leading companies, every year, come to Lovely Professional University to participate in recruitment drives. Placements are administered by a team called Division of Career Services. It has also started the covid scholarship to aid education at such grim times. Being a student of Lovely professional University, I can tell you very efficiently that LPU provides more placements opportunities than Thappar. Almost all my seniors are already placed and some of them are even carrying two or more than two job offers. LPU is best.

I think lpu is better option I have seen the results of a couple of placement drives already and they are surely motivating. 2 students from my branch have been offered 12 Lacs each in Honda while 6 to 7 were placed for 6 to 7 Lacs each. For a mechanical engineer, that is not a bad starting prospect. For CSE, 12 students were selected in Amazon with 1 or 2 getting 12 Lacs per annum. Cognizant took nearly 200 students in a single drive. If rumors are to be believed, Volkswagen will be coming this year. The lowest package offered was around 2 Lacs with an average of 5 to 6 Lacs. CSE, ECE and MBA are good to land a decent job.
