The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is more industry-oriented, whereas the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is more research-oriented. IITs are shiny and glamorous in their physical imagery, whereas IISc is simpler, carries a calm attitude, is more research-based, and is committed to scientific advancement.
