Which one is better in terms of scope among chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering?

To be very frank, these days I feel there is more scope for interdisciplinary work as compared to working on specifically one core domain. Even the research funding for basic research and research in core fields in reducing day by day as there is a lot less area left to work on.
