LPU has a vast exposure and very good infrastructure. There is a wide platform provided for learning. Also, since they have tie ups with so many organisations, you get a lot of opportunities for betterment of your profile. However, I suggest you to check out the difference on the basis of the course you want to opt for and not on the basis of the college/university. That will let you choose. -

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT, commerce, arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .
