Both PGDM and MBA are similar degrees with nomenclature difference. e.g. PGDM of IIMs and MBA from FMS DU are equally good and have similar market acceptance. You are advised to select between both MBA and PGDM based on B-School ranking not the name of the degree. You may refer to the following link
