Which one is better: Mechanical engineering in IIT Kharagpur or Computer Science in a mediocre NIT?

JEE Advanced Rank is 4436 and Mains Rank is 8837. I am not desperate for CSE but they say only CSE has bright prospects.

Give preference to NIT for CSE. Because placements in Mechanical are not satisfactory in any college. However if you are getting ECE or IT in IITs than think about the IITs.
