Both the colleges are in the same league. The main criteria for you for selecting a college between the both should be the location and the fee structure and also the cost of living. The other criteria is that most the companies which will come for the hiring process will offer locations near to that state. You will equal number of opportunities in placements in both these colleges. The choice is entirely yours. All the best and feel free to ask any more questions.

Here are some of the parameters to choose that how to judge an average B-School:
    1) Try to avoid trust in morphed media ranking (not all media), sometime it happens to promote the college brand name in customer/students mind.
    2) Don't run or get lured by the call of 100% placement. If you are in bulk, hire and fire offers are offered. It does not make any sense to you.
    3) Don't run behind the 9.6 L CTC per annum. Always check the in hand salary/take home salary.
    4) Check the job profile and not the brand name. Why?
You may enjoy the service of famous bank ACIZ but may not enjoy it as an employee if your profile is unrealistic target based

IMI, Kolkata has had a good placement record ever since its inception. It has been ranked as one of the top management institutes of the eastern region. Moreover, the faculty here is excellent. Visiting faculty members from across globe come to campus to deliver lectures. Some the highly specialized courses like cloud computing and digital marketing are also offered to students. What marks it off from other management institutes is the infrastructure that it has which adds to the wholesome learning experience of management graduates. The institute has excellent international collaboration with some of the top universities across globe.

In my opinion, there shall be no comparison between the two colleges. Both the colleges have their pros and cons. According to me, if you manage to get admission in IMI-Kolkata, then you must go for and otherwise NDIM would be good option.
