<p>LPU has a better median package for B.Tech graduates, for LPU it varies from INR 6.15 to INR 7.25 LPA. Also, LPU had a the highest package of INR 62.72 LPA. LPU also brings more recruiters (more than 2,225) and more job opportunities across different sectors. The average package according to LPU for the top 25% of its batch is INR 10.23 LPA, which is a clear indication of LPU's placement support. Overall, LPU stronger means of placement and a greater number of recruiters and higher packages for placements makes it a better option.</p>

Coming to academics, LPU has maintained a great academic record over the years. The workshops and guest lectures that happen every now and then benefit the students. Also, students get the chance to do live projects at the university. Various opportunities for internships and industry immersion are also provided at LPU. Students also get placement mentoring which prepares them for the placement season. Almost all the good companies visit LPU like Amazon, Tech Mahindra, ITC, Trident Group, KHIMJI RAMDAS, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, Nestle, ADOBE SYSTEMS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, CRESCENDO GROUP, Rallis India and several other firms. The highest Package Availed by Engineering (CSE) Student MS Tanya Arora is 42 LPA for batch 2020 by Microsoft. Students are placed in Work India at 35 LPA; AMAZON at a package of 30LPA. Though both the universities are good in academics but being an alumni let me share the details of LPU. The placement highlights are:- Even during this unprecedented time of COVID almost 7200+ offers were generated and still there is more to come. There are around 1000+virtual placement events that are conducted so far. As per the website of Thapar university, it has got 282 companies visiting the campus and with 994 offers. Compare it to LPU : it attracts more than 300 companies only for its CSE ! With 800 companies in total out of which more than 80 offer above 10LPA, 100 are from fortune 500 and more than 100 which come to LPU only other than IITs & Iims ! Moreover LPU places over 6 K students every year which in itself is a great FEAT. So LPU has a higher bandwidth with regards to placements than Thapar. DVD.
