Which one is having more scope among MBA in finance and MBA in marketing?

Both marketing and finance are equally challenging and interesting MBA specialisations. As per market trends and recruiters preference marketing has better opportunities in comparison to finance.

Hi Dear, It is a difficult task to compare the two as each offers a promising career. The big debate is not which one is better; rather it should be what the aptitude of the candidate is? People who have an eye for detail and are numerically-oriented can go for MBA Finance, while those who have excellent communication skills and have an outgoing personality are suited to a career in Marketing. Essential traits required for either field are: For Finance- Quantitative skills, financial skills, Understanding of accounting and financial management principles, Analytical skills For Marketing- Strategic thinking, Tolerance for ambiguity, Flexibility, Creativity, Research skills, Presentation skills and Passion. Opportunities for the two are present in: For Finance- Banks, Financial Consultancies, Investment Banking, Institutional Finance, Merchant Banking, Corporate Finance For Marketing- This being an integral part of any organisation, opens job avenues across industries right from education to media to F&B industry. Following Job Titles are offered: For Finance- Credit Risk Management Analyst, Financial Research Analyst, Personal Financial Advisory, Portfolio Manager, Budget Analyst, Administrators, Accountants and Chief Financial Officer For Marketing- Marketing Manager, Branding Specialist, Advertising Executive, Public Relations Specialist, New Product Manager and Marketing Analyst Salary prospects: Earnings vary according to the industry segment one is working in.
