Which one is more interesting among computer science & mechanical engineering? Will there be a stability in software field after 4 years?

Both CS and Mechanical Engineering are equally interesting and challenging. In fact, all branches of engineering are equally interesting and requires life long knowledge upgrade and innovation.
Indian IT industry is on slow decline phase and there is no sign of recovery. In fact with increased automation in Software Engineering, there will be more job losses. But field has big aptitude for good CS engineers. -

Well, each and every branch in engineering is good, we can't compare them. Just there are a few differences like mechanical, electrical and civil are evergreen branches but CS, IT and EC have high placement records.
Other than this, you may also take chemical, metallurgy, mechatronics, etc.
So, choose a suitable branch.
