Dear Sameeksha, I get such questions every day and being an educational consultant, it is my duty to help students to choose the better options for them. Lovely Professional University (LPU), situated in Phagwara, in Punjab, India was established in 2005 and started welcoming students in 2006. There are also inter-university tournaments held on campus throughout the academic year. LPU has relationships with universities around the world to encourage international students to attend the university. <p dir="ltr">Currently Chandigarh University is actually one of the fastest-growing universities. They got ranked #231 in QS World Rankings by Subject 2025 and are #20 in NIRF 2024 among both government and private universities in India. That's just remarkable.</p><p dir="ltr">This place is not just about books. They have all these labs where students actually work on projects with real life impact. AI, cybersecurity, data Science – they have it all. The placement scene is also very strong. Big names like IBM, Amazon, and TCS come here to hire students. They even have a team that helps students with interview prep, coding tests, and soft skills.</p><p dir="ltr">LPU is also good and has a big campus, but in terms of ranking and industry connections, this university is ahead. Parul University is fine as well, but it's not at the same level as the other two in rankings or placements.</p>

The universities that you have named such as Chandigarh and Parul universities must be good but I know about Lovely Professional University because my nephew and niece are studying there. The biggest achievement of Lovely Professional University is that it was ranked among the top 200 universities of the world in The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021. Since its inception, its the first time Lovely Professional University was ever engaged in the rankings and was ranked second-the highest among Indian varsities. Only three Indian varsities made it to the Top 200 varsities in the rankings this year. Apart from that LPU has improved its rankings in NIRF too. LPU is ranked 62nd on the list of all the government and private universities of the country. University's Engineering School is ranked 66th, Management School is ranked 37th, Pharmacy School is ranked 23rd, Architecture is ranked 12th, and Law School is ranked 24th amongst all Government and Private Universities in India. It is such a big campus with over 30000 students and over 6000 teaching and non teaching staff. The campus has almost everything inside. It has Hospital, Shopping Mall, Gym, Indoor Stadium, Post Office, Bank, Food Courts with International cuisines, Hostel Facility, etc. ) The NIRF rankings of LPU this year were quite impressive.
