NSIT and DTU both have superb placements. Infrastructure of DTU is better than NSIT mainly because it is a University and it was established much earlier. NSIT has had various students placed at Google (11 in total with a package of 1.25 Crore per annum in the last two years). Other core biggies like Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Grey Orange, Epic Systems and many more companies hand out big bucks to worthy students. The times ranking placed NSIT over all NITS, IIT Roorkee and Guwahati, DTU in placements.

Chandigarh University offers best placement for B Tech in the region. Chandigarh University is creating new standards in campus placements thanks to its strong Industry-Academic linkage. Every year, leading organisations such as Microsoft, Amazon, Walt Disney, IBM, Flipkart, and SAP Labs come to CU Campus to recruit new employees. As a result, Chandigarh University has been given the distinction of "India's Best University for Placements. " With over 757 Multi-Nationals visiting CU Campus in 2021-22, the number of offers has surpassed 8000, and the highest package has increased by 30%, scaling to a new high of 52.11 LPA.

I would suggest going for DTU. DTU is better than NSIT in almost all scenarios be it infrastructure, placements, campus life, brand value. DTU Placement Stats for 2021-22 (till 27 Aug 2021 I. e. only 27 days)

    No. Of offers : 566
No. Of students placed : 533
the highest CTC : 45.034 LPA (Microsoft selected 34 students + 11 PPOs)
    Avg Salary : 22.11 LPA
    Median Salary : 22.2 LPA
No. Of offers above 20 Lacs : 239
    No. Of offers between 10 & 20 Lacs : 246
This is as per DTU's official website & can be considered one of the best in India almost close to IIIT Hyderabad CSE whose avg is around 22-23 LPA for around 120 studen

Hi. The placement record of both the colleges is almost the same but NSIT has a slight edge due to its smaller batch size. Hence, it has a greater cutoff. DTU placement records are also quite good, equal no of companies visit both the colleges i.e. around 300-350 companies visit both the campuses every year.

Alright, here I go writing a final answer on this NSIT vs DTU spectacle (2017). I am a student at DTU and I had the choice of getting anything at any of the colleges. However, Ill try to summarize about both the colleges in the most unbiased way.
Most important factor (if you aren't going for hostel/PG): Location w.r.t your house. Travelling time matters, a lot. So, if you live near NSIT and it takes you more than 1.5 hours to travel to DTU, no need to join DTU, same the other way around. 23 hours daily for 4 years is a hell lot of time. 150 days a year, 600 days in 4 years, 1500 hours lost, in travelling! That is more than the entire t
