Which one should I choose among newer IIMs and non-IIMs?

Hi, NITs (National Institutes of Technology) and IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) are a bunch of engineering colleges that are well-acclaimed both nationally and internationally for their excellence in the field of education. The first 14 RECs between 1959 and 1965, which later were upgraded to NITs in 2003, were an offshoot of the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru's vision of making India flourish at the Global level. Whereas, the history of IITs dates back to Indias pre-independence era. At present, there is a total of 31 NITs across the nation and the number of IITs is 23. While both the institutes have extensively contributed in raising the standard bar for education and have played a major role in accelerating country's growth in the technological sector, there has always been comparisons and differences that have been a major topic of debate. Some of the chief reasons of IITs being better than NITs are as follows: -IITs are a globally recognized brand. -The quality of students and faculty is better at IITs. -They have a stronger academic collaboration. -Placements and infrastructure of IITs is also better.
