Hi,
Admissions in Institute of Hotel Management (IHMs) are based on the rank you get in National Counsel of Hotel Management and Catering Technology ( NCHMCT) Joint Entrance Exam. Whereas, IIHM conducts its own test/Interview for admissions.
Choosing an IHM over IIHM depends upon which IHM you are getting, If you are getting top IHMs such as IHM0-Pusa, Delhi, IHM-Mumbai, IHM-Bengaluru, IHM-Chennai, IHM-Kolkata or IHM-Aurangabad then you should prefer these IHMs over IIHM, and If you are getting the lower IHM like IHM-Hajipur, IHM-Dehradun, IHM-Shilong, IHM-Shimla, etc., then you should definitely go for IIHM.

Among all the programs being offered in hotel management, I will always recommend the programme offered by IHM-Aurangabad. It is expensive as compared to all other programs but gives the best exposure in the country as well as the best training facility in the country and at par with best of international colleges.
