Which one should I prefer for a hotel management course: LPU or Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and why?

In North India, I must say LPU is as good as IHM's. And yes LPU does offer a Bachelors degree in Hospitality and Airline Tourism. Placements are very good ATIT salary packages are very good. In fact, I have heard few overseas placements also. LPU provides 4 Hospitality courses: 1) B.Sc. Hotel Management. 3 years. 2) Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. 4 years. 3) B.Sc. (Airlines, Tourism, and Hospitality) 3 years. 4) Diploma in Airline Cabin Crew and Hospitality. 1 Year As per feedback from Alumni of LPU, This is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from reputed hotel management institutes of the country. Some of the faculty members have years of experience behind them where in they had worked with reputed hotels, etc. The university is having tie-ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Oberois, Raddison, Leela, ITC, Air Vistara, etc. Come to the campus for recruitment purpose. Hi, Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology is not at all a bad Institute but In North India I would like to suggest you for LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY JALANDHAR PUNJAB. They offer versatility in their courses of hospitality and catering technology. According to me you should opt for a course Bachelors of hotel management and catering technology (BHMCT). Multi story word class kitchen infrastructure and lavishing hotel inside the campus for the daily practice of there students. Totally vegetarian restaurant where students practice to cook only a vegetarian cuisine. At LPU these courses are meant for students who are looking for specialised hospitality degree with global recognition that can lead to the leadership. Although, this year LPU has relaxed their eligibility where they have exempted the candidates from LPUNEST exam. Those who are willing to take admission in the university, can take a direct admission now without qualifying entrance exam conducted by the University still a candidate must have at least 50% aggregate marks in the 12th class and English must be studied as a subject. Best thing of the LPU is that they very good Industry Tie-ups which results in usual guest lectures by an Industry Experts. Students work on various Projects in collaboration with Industry. If you are studying at LPU placements are not at all a problem because they say "we provide 100% placements to those candidates who are eligible for aspiring for the placements". Dear student, There are numerous hotel management institutes in India and every college offers a unique set of opportunities. Before choosing any of the university for hotel management one should keep few points in mind like academic quality, placement, student environment and practical exposure. I think you should go for LPU. A great number of aspirants have got admitted here at LPU just to guide their dreams in a proper direction. A separate university-hotel is there, where students of Hotel management are trained with practical knowledge.

Dear Aspirant, I am not aware of the Army Institute of Hotel Management but being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of LPU with you for this programme. One of my friend's brother is also studying there in Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology BHMCT ) Let me share few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU : Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. University-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gazettes. We have few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation.
