Which one should I prefer for a MMS program: JBIMS or Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research and why?

Both are top B-School of the country in term of infrastructure, placement, faculty and brand name. SPJIMR also have best of placement from the industry as JBIMS. But being a 50 years old Institute JBIMS would be leading the race, leader of the legacy known as "CEO factory", being producing CEO like Chanda Kochar, Uday Kotak and many more top industry leaders presently. So I would suggest doing from JBIMS would be an added advantage, also it has small batch size as compared to SPJIMR so it will be also beneficial for the candidate to excel in small batch as compared to the big batch of SPJIMR. You would be a part of the CEO Factory after getting a tag from JBIMS. Also, the total fee for the program is also very low as compared to SPJIMR. So hope this information helps the candidate. Both the institutes are of national repute. Being a student Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, I would be able to provide you a better information about SPJIMR. When it comes to academics SPJIMR rigorously focuses on academics with emphasis on providing case based knowledge as well as providing hands on experience of the entire business scenario through simulation studies. The faculty is of international repute and is globally known in their field of expertise. Also we have visiting faculty from international institutions as well as from corporate. As far as non classroom activities are concerned, SPJIMR is one of the few institutes in India which gives exposure to its students through social internship through an NGO as well as Abhyudaya programme where we have to provide mentorship to a child from a Mumbai slum.

Hi, Definitely you should go with JBIMS because of following reason:- 1) Placements: It has a strong alumni base. Located in South Mumbai. More than 50 years old institution. Alumni includes Chanda Kocchar, Uday Kotak and many more. Small batch size helps everyone get placed. All big names visit campus from FMCG, Banks, Conglomerates, e commerce & others. Consulting companies are a few that visit the campus. 2) Faculty & curriculum: It would give 8 out of 10. College has visiting faculty who are industry stalwarts. Most of the visiting faculty are alums. Case study based learning as faculty is from the industry. This helps to understand practical problems. People do say that infrastructure of JBIMS is old, but seriously who cares when a institute is ready to give to 3-4 times of the fees as a placement gift.
