Which one should I prefer for a PGPM program: Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad or Indian Institute of Management, Indore and why?

Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is one among the top class colleges for PGPM. It is far better than Indian Institute of Management Indore. IIM, Ahmedabad has a very strong brand name because of its consistency in performance. IIM-A campus is very old as compared to Indore. The strong points about IIM-A are: 1. Strong alumni network - Approximately 5000+ alumni network they have. So, a lot of placement opportunities are there for the students. Almost all alumnis are in a very good position to bring big MNCs. 2. Teaching- This campus has very expert teaching faculties with strong network.They can guide students with ease. 3. Methodology- They incorporate live case studies as part of education which helps student understand the concepts better. 4. Placement- Because of the brand value itself, large MNCs will hire students directly. So, IIM A is better than IIM, Indore.

I think everyone will have the same opinion. Indian Institute of management Ahmedabad is the best among all the B-Schools of the country. The alumni network and brand value of IIM Ahmedabad makes this Institute a favorite destination for top minds of the country. Here, you will get good ROI value. The Campus is very good. The reputation of the institute among the companies is just too good (even in foreign). Campus of IIM, Ahmedabad is awesome. IIM, Indore is also very good but it is new in the business and will take few more years to reach the level of IIM, Ahmedabad. So, go with the first choice that is Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad without any second thought. Hope it helped. Thanks.

IIM Ahmedabad is, undoubtedly, the clear winner over not just IIM Indore but almost all the other IIMs and non-IIMs for that matter. The stringent admission criteria of IIM-A is such that only the best of the best get admitted into its different management programs. Also, it has tie-ups with many management institutes and universities across the globe, thus providing awesome international exposure. So, IIM Ahmedabad proves to be the apex destination for thousands of serious MBA aspirants every year.

That's a pretty straightforward choice to make. It is IIM A all the way. Brand value- This question will make a lot more sense if someone converts IIMA as you need a 99.8 + %ile and excellent acads (for a GEN category) to make the cut. IIM A is the creme-de-la-creme of all b-schools and has an enviable placement record. Not only it is numero uno in India for last two decades but the research in management education and the evolution of management education in India happens vis-a-vis this great b-school. Placement- If you compare the student capital and the placements/profiles of the graduating batch, you will notice a stark difference between IIM A and I. IIM A has an average CTC of 22LPA for the batch of 2015-17 whereas the figure is 18 LPA for IIM I. Also, Investment banks like Goldman, JP Morgan, Well Fargo, Barclays etc. open profiles exclusively for IIMA. Then you have the top consulting companies like McK, BCG, Bain who have a very strong hiring faith in IIMA and open top profiles only for IIM A, B and C. The fee structure for IIM A is higher than IIM I but the return on investment will be taken care of once you graduate. Alumni network- With likes of Raghuram Rajan, Harsha Bhogle, Chetan Bhagat and Mallika Sarabhai graduating from the school, IIM A has the most stellar list of alums across Indian B-Schools.

IIM, Ahmedabad is the topmost B - School of India. It is ranked No 1 postgraduate program in management in India by multiple rating agencies. It has the best brand value in both Indian and International job market. IIM, Ahmedabad PGP graduates start their management career a notch above other B-Schools graduates. IIM, Ahmedabad alumni network is strongest and help in career growth. IIM, Indore PGP is equally good but market acceptance of IIM, Ahmedabad is little better. If you have an option then you may prefer IIM, Ahmedabad over IIM, Indore for PGP in management.
