Which one should I prefer for an LL.M: Jamia Millia Islamia or Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and why?

Hello, I think this quite subjective upon your choices and legitimate expectations from a law school. On one hand, Jamia is a traditional University with great faculty, good alumni and decent infrastructure. On the other hand, you have IP which is the top law school for LLB after NLUS. I would recommend you to go to IP because overall job prospects are much better. Subjects on new spheres of law are given as electives and it will overall improve you co-curricular with respect to improving debating skills and other stuff. Good luck!!

Jamia Millia Islamia is an old university in Delhi and is running its law school since ages. It has very good faculty and also employees faculty on visiting basis whenever required. Its reputation as an institute of learning is very high. It has a well-oiled machinery in placement cell and all possible help is provided to students as well as recruiters.On the other hand, Indraprastha University was established by Delhi government in 1998 and was renamed as Guru Gobind Singh IP university in 2001. Well both the universities are quite well known and are reputed universities in terms of law as well. The faculties at both the universities are good but yes Jamia Millia has an advantage of having more experienced faculties owing to their qualifications. Also the infrastructure provided at both the universities is decent.Though Indraprastha university may have better infrastructure than Jamia but Jamia milia have better resources in terms of books and study materials.
