Which one should I prefer for an PGDM program: Jagan Institute of Management Studies or Asia-Pacific Institute of Management and why?

Asia-Pacific Institute of Management has been ranked at 36 by Business Today in 2016. The college is definitely beyond the expectations, providing all the facilities like AC, Wi-fi, book bank, internship etc. Here all the teachers are well-qualified and are Ph.D. Some of them also have written books and some of them went to many workshops and conferences etc. Infrastructure is undoubtedly very good. But the canteen facilities and hostel facilities are average. The sports and cultural festivals here are celebrated. The placements are beyond the expectations as most of the big companies came here recently. They have tie-ups with Alibaba.com, KPMG , E&Y etc. There is no trip entertained here, and the college culture is for core studies and workshops.

Amandeep, It will always depend on a candidate's expectation from an institute he/ she wants to apply to. But, on a ground reality check, I would suggest Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi over Jagan Institute of Management Studies any day. JIMS is also a decent college/ university with an average crowd mostly, doing good, but Asia-Pacific Institute of Management is known for its diverse crowd from all parts of the country, offering a the latest industry based course curriculum to its students. To begin with, it offers 4 full-time AICTE and Ministry of HRD approved PGDM courses. General Management (Dual specialisation) and core specialisation in Marketing, International Business, and Banking & Financial Services. An up-to-date coursework with rigorous industry and corporate exposure, followed with various soft-skills and technical trainings is what leads to its students' placements in some of the top MNCs like Lo'real and Jaguar Landrover etc. Every year. Internships are guaranteed at AIM (Asia-Pacific) along with stipends which no other college offers, even in Pune, Bangalore or Hyderabad. Second most important things is their strategic alliance with various international universities. They prefer sending their student for a merit based trimester (3-4 months) exchange programme to universities abroad, one of them in France, than setting students on a 10 days spree to singapore or HK, which adds no value to resume or knowledge or profile (a sad attraction of foreign tour which allures student with not much exposure). Asia-Pacific is an overall high ranked, disciplined institute which offers focused academic excellence and placements as priorities with some of the best faculty members to teach. I'll prefer you to opt for the Asia-Pacific Institute pf management as this college is the best college in all the other college that you have mentioned in the list above as this college in all the terms whether it is infra, faculty and placements.
