Which one should I prefer for B.Com: Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) or Indira Gandhi National Open University and why?

I would suggest you to go for BMCC among these two. Regular graduation carries far more value than distance one. BMCC is one of the top commerce colleges in Maharashtra state.

I don't know much about BMCC therefore cannot compare it with IGNOU but as far as I know about IGNOU, here it is; Well known with all the programmers approved. Easy admission, re-admission, Examination form submission, assignments submission and other processes. Most of these can be done online. Nominal Fee. Quality study material. In case you lose your study material, you can buy guides from GPH, Neeraj or other publication house online. 30% marks are of assignments and rest of examination. Assignments are similar to examination question papers (I.e. like sample question paper) therefore while doing assignments you are also preparing for examination. Examination(or TEE) are held in June and December therefore you can take admission according to your requirements or can give any TEE (June or December) from 2nd year of your programme. You can select your examination Centre in any city, while filling examination form. Any query and doubts can be easily got answered by visiting study centers. Every Centre has a coordinator and other staff for IGNOU students. Study centers are present even in very remote locations and you can easily find a study center within 15 km from your residing place. Study center can also be changed later. If you want to pursue BA /B.Sc degree, then you can have your BA/B.Sc in any particular subject (called majors, like honors), just like I'm having my BA in Political Science or you can also opt for general BA/B.Sc.
