    Hi,
St. Xavier's Kolkata is best known for its Commerce Department especially B.Com (Hons). The level of Maths and Statistics that is taught is not too high. It is taught considering all types of Students (good or average at Maths). The faculty is experienced and you can easily understand whatever is taught in class.
First year Maths and Stats can be a cakewalk for you, if you're quite good at basics of it. From second year, the level rises and you'll be required to learn new things. On an overall level, I can say, it is better than what is taught in other Commerce colleges. (Since, all the students are from Maths background).

You should opt for economic honours in St Xavier's college Kolkata as it is very well known but it might be very difficult to get an opportunity to study economics in St. Xavier's college. So try your luck but if it doesn't click then go for other options which you have kept for yourself. Remember to surely try in St. Xavier's for economics.
I would advise you to take economics Hons. in St. Xavier's, Kolkata. The course structure is extremely good and it gives a very international and national exposure.

According to my opinion KIIT School of Management (KSOM) is a better choice for pursuing B.com rather to go with St. Xavier's college. The reason to go with KIIT is that the college have More than 30% of faculty is from IIMs and More than 50% are from IIMs, IITs and other premier Technology and Business Schools.
KSOM has several full time faculty members who have studied flagship PGDM courses in IIM Ahmadabad, IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode. Visiting Faculty too form an important aspect of our delivery and many such members are Industry Seniors, Entrepreneurs, Motivational Speakers and Young Achievers 90% faculty with industry experience

    Hello,
Getting into St. Xavier's College, Kolkata is like getting into school after you have completed your school where discipline is a must with minimum 75% attendance and classes are regular and interactive unlike other colleges in India. The Administration provides their students with every facility for their overall development which includes organizing seminars both by the students and celebrities (for e.g., Arun Jaitley delivered his speech at college's auditorium and was an interactive session which was held this January). Also providing fields for entertainment like hosting many Bollywood Actors and Yearly fest Xavotsav which is
