Which one should I prefer for B.Des: Auro University or National Institute of Fashion Technology and why?

Auro University is best for B. Des. At the Auro Design School, you will learn to build a holistic perspective. A holistic perspective helps you make informed decisions, and influence your design. Working together and designing ecosystems will teach you to build consensus, allocate work, manage timelines and build amazing things with your peers. After completing the Bachelor of Design programme, every student gets the option to pursue a topical specialisation for one year, resulting in a Post-graduate Diploma of Design or pursue for two years, resulting in a Master of Design.

Hi, If you want to do Bachelor's of design only then NIFT is much better than Auro University. Because NIFT is specialised in that. NIFT is an Indian government-affiliated college and have good link-ups with FIT, New York. It follows the course curriculum of FIT only. NIFT also provides a 6-month exchange programme with foreign colleges and universities. It also conduct central placements every year, where they invite many designers, export houses, retail brands, buying houses, etc. On an average Bachelor's students get a starting salary package of three Lacs atleast. You will also have quit a few options to pursue with at NIFT, there is Bachelor's in: 1 - Fashion Design (FD) 2 - Textile Design (TD) 3 - Fashion communication (FC) 4 - Knitwear design (KD) 5 - Leather design (LD) 6 - Accessory Aesign (AD) Apart from NIFT, NID (National Institute of Design) is also a good option to pursue Bachelor's in design. You should try that too. In terms of design, NID is better than NIFT and also a government college. You can choose between these two colleges according to your course preference, because they offers different courses for B.Des. I hope you make a good choice.

NIFT is a well-known government college which makes it an obvious choice. This means better placement opportunities. The curriculum is well planned. Most of the faculty is the alumni of the college and has industry experience as well contacts in the industry which gives you better exposure. As it is one of the top colleges for design in the country, the competition is more intense which helps you grow as a student.
