Which one should I prefer for PGDM: Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research or SIMSREE and why?

Hello, between these two, one should opt for SIMSREE over Welingkar due to the following reasons:- 1. ROI: SIMSREE emerges as the clear winner as it provides the second best ROI (after FMS) in India. 2. Brand name: Both are quite popular in Maharashtra, SIMSREE is much older. 3. Industry exposure: Since both are located in Mumbai, they offer great exposure. However, SIMSREE slightly edges ahead due to its close proximity to Nariman Point, a bustling business hub in South Mumbai. 4. Placements: Again, SIMSREE is ahead as the average package is around Rs 9 lakhs while Welingkar has Rs 7 lakhs. 5. Fees: Due to the fare hike this year, Welingkar loses out on this factor. Whereas SIMSREE has a very affordable tuition fee amount of Rs 1.38 lakhs; thus no fretting over repaying those education loans. 6. Rankings: SIMSREE is ahead of Welingkar here as well. The only aspect where Welingkar wins is its good infrastructure. Else, an aspirant should give first priority to SIMSREE and keep Welingkar as a backup option.

SIMSREE offers MMS, not PGDM. In order to get admission into SIMSREE, you have to score very high marks in CET with a limited number of seats available. Cut off is around 99.96 for SIMSREE. While at WeSchool you have various PGDM courses for which there is a GDPI process conducted. Thus even if you have scored less marks in entrance exam you still stand a chance to get admitted for one of the courses based on your performance in GD-PI process. SIMSREE has a higher ranking with very low fees around Rs 1.36 lakhs as compared to Weschool PGDM which is around Rs 11.64 lakhs. One would find better placement opportunities at SIMSREE as the number of students are less compared to Welingkar, academic wise Weschool offers more as it has its own autonomous program which is trimester pattern, plus it also has exclusive program like Global Corporate Citizen Leadership a 6 months project which you get to do in first year of your PGDM course.

Even though the fee is little higher in LN Welingkar it is better than SIMSREE. SIMSREE fee is Rs 1.36 lakhs and the average package offered is Rs 3.5 lakhs per annum and highest is Rs 11 lakhs per annum. SIMSREE is also famous for their qualified faculties. They have faculties with great experience in the field of teaching. Both the campuses offer education based on updated syllabus. L. N. Welingkar fee is Rs 8.6 lakhs. The highest package offered is Rs 21 lakhs per annum and average is Rs 8 lakhs per annum. They have alumni network above 2000. L. N. Welingkar institute is also famous for their qualified faculties.
