Which one to prefer for LLB among Faculty of Law, Delhi University and D.Y. Patil School of Law and why?

Definitely Faculty of law. It is one of the premier institutions to study law after graduation in India, and also one of the most sought after. Faculty of Law has churned out some of the best and most renowned lawyers and judges in the history of Indian Judiciary, like Siddhartha Luthra, Sr Adv, Rohinton Nariman, Justice AK Sikri, Justice Gita Mittal, etc. Truth be told, the standard of teaching in the Faculty of Law has gone down over the years. However, what still remains intact is the faith in the institution and the weight of the name. An alumnus of Campus Law Centre is welcomed like family in the field of litigation as most practicing lawyers have gone to law school at Delhi University. In order to make most of your time at the Faculty of Law, it is important to be self-disciplined and develop an interest in the field of law. Self-study is the mantra, nothing can equate to that. Plus, the case materials that are handed over at the beginning of each semester cover the syllabus very well, if only one dedicates the time and patience to go through them from cover to cover.

Definitely Law faculty of DU. I have no idea what other people would tell but being a student of the same college, I can tell what all here is good and why I prefer it over other colleges. The infrastructure, is not good in the old building but the new building has it too. We have a huge library with thousands of books so you don't have to worry much about resources. The faculty is a mix, you get great and bad both. But you can always attend other teachers' lectures too. Talking about the crowd, we have a mixed crowd from all the premier colleges in India and people from various fields. There are students with great legal connections and people with no connection at all. You get to learn a lot when you meet people from various fields. We have doctors, engineers, journalists, writers, musicians and so many people here in college. Being in Delhi, you get the chance to intern a lot and because so many current advocates and judges are alumni of this college only, you always have a plus side there. In a lot of events, you get to hear, meet, see the legends like Soli Sorabjee, Mohan Parsaran, Siddharth Luthra, Justice Gita Mittal, etc. who visit the college to deliver special lectures.
