IT (Information Technology) is a growing field, in India, and is looked upon, as one of the industries to provide jobs. A science student, interested in joining the IT bandwagon is usually confused between many courses on offer at the undergraduate level and might end up joining a course which might not be as beneficial as some other course.
One such confusion comes between choosing BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) or B.SC (Computer Science). We have listed some of the difference in these courses to help you reach a decision.

One can start preparation for Entry Level job in software companies like Infosys, TCS, Google, Tech- Mahendra, Patni, WIPRO and some other software companies, A few companies offer the opportunity of joining MCA/ MS Programmes to its employees along-with job
If one does not want to do the job after BCA. Then he/she may go for the higher studies. They may do MCA or MBA courses depending on their interests. We highly recommend pursuing an MCA course after the BCA as it adds more value to the resume. Visit: https://www.jnujaip...more -

Dear Shyam, Both of these courses have their own merits. Students interested to have a job in Software or in computer applications can choose to study BCA. BCA course is also a good option for students who wish to take a postgraduate degree in MCA. Students who are interested in Database operations or the Internet can go for B.Sc. IT. Anyway, both these courses can offer challenging jobs in the field of computers. One of my friends completed his BCA degree programme from LPU and got placed in an MNC as he was much interested in computer applications.
