Which paper of GATE should I prepare for? Can you suggest some books for its preparation?
I am in the 5th semester of automobile engineering & want to do higher studies in automotive engineering or work in a PSU. With which subject should I write it among mechanical & XE? Also, can oe crack GATE with self-study only using reference books?

You should do complete preparation of GATE exam according to your branch that you have chosen in B.Tech.
