MBA is not a mandatory requirement for Public Sector Banks where eligibility criteria is graduation degree for Probationary Officer. Private banks prefer their entry level officers to be MBA post-graduate, particularly with finance specialisation.

Dear friend, As per my personal opinion and experience for banking, it doesn't matter if you have passed post graduation, the main requirement is that you have to pass graduation and after that, there is a separate exam that is called Bank PO. After that, you can get a job in the bank. Thank you and have a bright future ahead.

There are various posts in banks. They demand MBA as a minimum criteria with around 2 to 3 years of valuable work experience (post MBA). Posts in banks are as specialised officers in marketing, accounts, credit, forex, etc. Banks change its criteria from time to time. Recruitments in banks depends on the number of posts available.
