Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology.If you re looking for quality education,good placements,exposure,academics then LPU is right place,it has all.I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing.
She told me faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community.
LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology.

The course offers specializations in Dairy Technology, Fermentation Technology and Bioinformatics.The curriculum offers prime focus on fundamental and applied aspects of biotechnology.Students can get a foreign degree through international collaborations (2 year in India and 2 years abroad or 2 year in India and 1 year abroad)

Dear Sarthak, I have no idea about VIT, Amity, and Manipal, but being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of B.Tech in Biotechnology at LPU. My friend did this programme at LPU last year. A few of the major highlights are :
1. LPU school of biotechnology provides an ultimate learning experience with a commitment to innovation. Various guest lectures from experts and field visits are organized by the school.
2. The school encourages R & D activities for students to get the benefit. Many students from LPU have successfully collaborated with foreign universities and research institutions. The dept. Also inculcates entrepreneurship opportunities to build job providers of the future.
3. Instill advanced knowledge in the major areas of Biotechnology such as Animal Tissue Culture, Plant Tissue Culture, Microbiology, Genetics, and Bioinformatics.
4. Training, projects, and guest lectures collaborated with industries to help to learn from real-life situations.
5. Seminar and Project driven courses are designed to enhance technical and presentation skills.
6. Minor elective gives the students a choice to develop expertise in the interdisciplinary areas of interest, for example, CSE/IT, Management, and ECE.

A candidate seeking admission in LPU Admission Office is required to take an entrance exam called LPUNEST (PhD) which is not applicable for candidates who have valid exemption criteria such as UGC NET/JRF, CSIR NET/JRF, GATE, GPAT, or M.Phil. (regular mode). These candidates are directly appearing for the interview. Admission selection is based on 70% entrance test and 30% performance in the interview.
