There is no difference actually between the two. From this onwards, IIMs have started giving an MBA degree. Previously, IIMs were also providing with the PGDM degree.

Both are good in which MBA is mostly preferred as we get a master's degree and PGDM doesn't give so. There is no other major difference.

Hello!
An MBA offers more technical and business related information while PGDM offers a more practical approach. Both are equally good; what matters more is from which college you are pursuing them. For example, a PGDM from an IIM is any day more valuable than an MBA from an average college.

PGDM expands as Post graduate Diploma in management. MBA is offered by the institutes which are affiliated to a particular university like FMS, Delhi, PUMBA, Pune etc. Whereas PGDM is offered by autonoums institutes.
