Your all India general rank is considered, but what they do is if you have a reserved quota, then your rank would be displayed general. But, you will be getting the branch based upon your category or reserve quota. So, if like you have OBC quota, then your rank displayed will be general, but the seat allotted would be according to the OBC quota. So, all the best for your future.

  • For DTU (Delhi Technological University) and NSIT/NSUT admissions through JEE Main:

    • All India General (CRL) Rank is considered for General category seats.

    • All India OBC-NCL Rank is considered for OBC category seats.

  • For admission to Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), the rank considered will depend on the category you belong to. If you belong to the general category, then your All India General Rank (AIR) will be considered for admission. However, if you belong to the OBC category, then your All India OBC Rank (AIR) will be considered. It is important to note that the admission process and criteria may vary from year to year. So, it is advisable to check the official website of DTU and NSUT for the latest updates regarding the admission process and eligibility criteria.

All Institutions in India have to follow rules of government about quota for different categories. In your case, I feel they will have to admit you under OBC category with AIR of OBC.
