Dear Priyal, of course, if you are a single girl child you will get the scholarship. Apart from that the LPU has a wide range of scholarships to benefit the students. The scholarships are a boon to the needy and a big encouragement to the meritorious. There is no specail scholarship for the B Tech students, I am giving you the details of all the scholarships, you can choose that suits you at the time of admission. The best thing about LPU scholarships is what you get at the time of admission continues till the completion of the course. However, the criteria is different for those who have sought admission through sports quota, board toppers and performing arts. If you are a board topper and someone from sports category and extra curricular performance category, you will have to either maintain a CGPA or keep performing in sports or extra curricular activities as the case may be. Otherwise if you have got scholarship through LPU NEST there are no restrictions. Once you get a scholarship, you will get the same amount of scholarship throughout the programme. Applicant having Benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of full programme fee waiver subject his/her case being approved by Special Committee constituted by LPU. The single girl child does get a scholarship. The beneficiary will get 30 percent waive off on the programme fee. Being an alumni of Lovely Professional University, let me just guide you based on the Need Based scholarship offerings by LPU to deserving students. LPU do offer Scholarship to special categories that includes Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Scholarship is also there. Objective of the Scheme: To provide financial assistance to students who need support for pursuing their higher education and to increase attainment and enhance their employability An applicant who is not availing any other scholarship/ grant offered by the university or Government or any other body (Public or Private) can apply for the benefits under the scheme Benefits under the scheme: The benefits of 30% scholarship on programme fee as financial aid will be awarded to selected applicants.
