Which sector has good scope in India: Graphic designing, VFX or animation?

Hi Dubey, Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. There are many industries related to education in animation such as: -Film Industry -animated Movies, VFX-Entertainment Industry - video editing -Education Industry - E-learning -Gaming Industry -Mobile games -Photography Industry - Special effects All these Industries have ample No. of jobs such as: -Art Director ,Game designer ,VFX artist ,Story board artist ,Rigging artist ,3D/2D modeller etc .So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career . Graphic design is the art of communication, problem-solving & stylizing through the use of image, type, space, and. In animation over the past several years, 3D animation has evolved from a promising field in animation, film, game design & graphic design to becoming a major focus across the entertainment industry. With interest in graphic designing, you may find scope in creating media which include :-Electronic media -Books -Packaging-Book jackets and Covers -Film and Animation-Newspapers -Booklets -Magazines and Periodicals -Corporate Logos Hope it helps. Graphic designing is already developed market in India while Animation industry in India is still maturing o the optimal level ! Although there are many common facets to both, but the functional areas as in the profit centers remain different. Animation as a career option is a field where you can use your creative juices. Fulfill your dream of "enjoy-as-you-work", feel satisfied at the end of your day and get accolades from your clients. By 2015, the animation industry had matured in India and moved on from being just an outsourcing facility to a creator of original, indigenous intellectual property. There are more than 600 animation studios in India as of 2019, which are estimated to have employed more than 45,000 animation professionals. As per the FICCI KPMG reports, the industry is growing at CAGR of 22 per cent, followed by post-production at 15 per cent, animation production at 9 per cent and animation services at 1 per cent. We can SEE that the animation, VFX, gaming and comics (AVGC) sector of India is only set to grow further. As of now, 40,000 (8%) people out of 5 Lacs people in the media and entertainment sector are employed in the animation, VFX and gaming side. This figure is expected to rise to 90,000 by year 2021 and 4.4 Lacs by 2025. Animation - Career Options Work opportunities for quality animators and related professionals like graphic designer, character designers, multimedia developer, 3D modelers, and game developer, key frame animators, layout artists etc. Exists in following sectors at large- Film & Television Advertising E-learning Online and Print News Media Video Gaming Cartoon production Theater Opportunities exists both with government as well as private sector enterprises. Animation itself is an industry, and as industry its on boom. As you can SEE that the field is growing at incredible rate, and technologies keep on changing by every day. This dynamic nature of industry necessitates the need of training which is not only comprehensive, but also prepares for the rigors of the highly competitive jobs. The institution must be equipped with all the high end software, hardware and machinery which is important. Not only this, since the field is creativity intensive, the ambiance, the culture and whole pedagogy must be such that creativity of students is used optimally. Graphics Designing, VFX, Animation are all very good and has a very good scope. But Animation is comparatively good and has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Especially if you are studying at a good university such as Sharda University. The program aims to help the students understand fascinating world of Animation, VFX and Motion Graphics for film, broadcast and other media pads. Hi, The animators are paid well and there are a number of opportunities to move ahead as well. Established animators can start their own businesses. There is scope to start your own freelance work as well as long as you undergo the right VFX course. You can even choose to join a big or small animation studio or advertising agency, game developer, media house or a TV and film production house.

Well, as far as I know, VFX right now doesn't have high scope but I think it will grow in coming years and apart from that animation and graphic designing both have good scopes but I recommend you to do both otherwise I will suggest you to go for animation.

Whether talking about light and shadows or freckles on a face, a VFX animator needs to be extremely aware of the little things.
