There is one major Regional GDS, Abacus, serving the Asian market and a number of regional players serving single countries, including Travelsky (China), Infini and Axess (both Japan) and Topas (South Korea). Of these, Infini is hosted within the Sabre complex, Axess is in the process of moving into a partition within the Worldspan complex, and Topas agencies will be migrating into Amadeus. Reservation systems may host "ticket-less" airlines and "hybrid" airlines that use e-ticketing in addition to ticket-less to accommodate code-shares and interlines. In addition to these "standardized" GDS, some airlines have proprietary versions which they use to run their flight operations. A few examples are Deltamatic's OSS system and EDS SHARES. SITA Reservations remains the largest neutral multi-host airline reservations system, with over 100 airlines currently managing inventory.

Hello, Ticketing and reservations is a full time job in spite of the fact that many Indians have taken to reserving online themselves. Of course digital literacy along with smart phones has made life very easy in this regard. But still there are many people who prefer to go to a person in flesh and blood do to say. This has resulted in springing up of many teaching institutes across the country. With more than 10 crores of Indian to skies in this year till Nov end, there is big business in Air Ticketing. This in turn has prompted many aviation training schools introducing this skill development course. With hundreds of such schools in market, and without any independent assessor, it's simply next to impossible to pin point some names. But if the student puts in a query Google will supply literally hundreds of names.All these schools are invariably IATA compliant and teach as per their standards. In majority of cases Galileo or Amadeus software are used.

CRS A computer reservation system or central reservation system (CRS) is a computerized system used to store and retrieve information and conduct transactions related to air travel, hotels, car rental, or other activities. Originally designed and operated by airlines, CRSs were later extended for the use of travel agencies. Global distribution systems (GDS) book and sell tickets for multiple airlines. Most airlines have outsourced their CRSs to GDS companies, which also enable consumer access through Internet gateways. There are basically three common software used under the CRS: Amadeus Galileo Sabre These software are taught at all IATA certified centers and these are the best choices to pursue as they are globally recognised.
