Both the specializations have their own scope and own different importance in the businesses. The job roles in International Business are more oriented towards export/import, International regulations and exploring the global markets for the organisation. While roles after MBA finance are more like business analyst, bankers, underwriters, finance managers, risk an credit related, investment bankers, wealth managers, compliance and many more. So these two are entirely different fields. Its you who has to identify your interest. Depending on your interest, aptitude and passion for the particular work, both these lines can be rewarding and fulfilling. You must identify your interest, aptitude, bent of mind, hobbies, personality traits etc. Before choosing any out of these. Then you have to hose the right b-school for doing the course. MBA in international business is more of global level. Subjects and topics are more related to export-import at global level. Whereas MBA - Finance is more of indian context/ general finance level. If you are looking for banking/insurance domain than MBA-finance is better option. Both specialisation is good both have different Scope. MBA in Finance. Finance is one of the most sought after MBA specialisations that focuses on management accounting and control, the Indian capital and money market, banking, privatization and international finance. A Master's programme in International Business also qualifies you for more prestigious job opportunities, such as the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
