If you are planning for academic or research career go for M.tech and PhD studies and if you're planning for business, entrepreneur or industry job related to management then go for MBA.

You can choose HR, finance operations or marketing. If you are from commerce background then most of the students go for PGDM in finance. Good colleges for finance include IFMR and KJ Somaiya.

Think about where your interest lies or what you want to do post MBA. Are you interested in marketing? Do you enjoy finance related stuff? These are some of the questions you can ask yourself. Also, the first year in MBA will give you a flavor of all these courses which can then help you decide, which specialisation you want to take in the second year.
