Due to the interesting and varied job possibilities provided by both fields, human resources, and marketing draw a sizable number of college students. Both occupations have a good income, marketing professionals often earn more than human resources.
  • XLRI Pune, IIM Lucknow, TISS and MDI Gurgaon reported 100% placements in their HR programs. The average salary for MBA HR at MDI Gurgaon was Rs 8 Lacs per annum! Since only 10% of MBA aspirants choose HR as their specialisation field, it seems that Marketing and Finance has higher level of corporate interest.

    Hi,
If we see these fields on basis of salary, I guess HR has a better scope. It has better opportunities in terms of salary. You can have a start up with a package of minimum Rs. 4 or 5 LPA, if completed MBA HR through a decent college.
