The MBA specialization subject stream must be chosen based on the kind of career you want to have or the field in which you want to work. For example, if you are interested in a marketing kind of work, then go for specialization in Marketing. Similarly, you can choose Finance, Operations, etc.

As per my experience, you should choose either operations or Marketing for better prospects.

There is no such thing. You can opt for any specialization depending on your interest. But, if you want to keep a link between your mechanical engineering, you can opt for operations/supply chain management.
