Choose the streamm you feel best suited for you, though Operations can be a better consideration

Since your interest is in solar and wind sector in my opinion you should go for operations management since these sectors require a lot of operations know how.

You haven't mentioned your field in which you have done B.Tech. but, still in my opinion , you should go for Operations management if you are planning to do general MBA. Part time MBA courses in top b-schools are for executives only with 2 or 3 years of work experience. Mechanical engineers can easily understand operations management concepts. It is the most suitable course for Mechanical engineers and it is available in many top b-schools,
