Which stream is better in engineering among CS and mechanical?

I have got 70 marks in JEE main exam and 74.2% marks in 12th class from CBSE.

It depends on you and your interest.If you like machines go for mechanical or else opt CS. Mechanical is an evergreen branch and CS is also very good. You can expect much more package with good placement in it as compared to mechanical. Now it depends on you so go with your interest. All the best.

Both of these branches are good at their own places. But if you choose Computer Science then your spectrum to excel in others fields narrows down. But if you choose Mechanical Engineering then you would have a broad spectrum of opportunities. That too Mechanical Engineering is an ever green field

Sir, I am very confused because my father is preferring Mechanical but my inclination is towards CS because it has higher pay scale, good job profile and I belong to a lower middle class family. So please suggest me again the better one.

it depends on you if your choice is in programming then opt CS or if your inclination is towards different cars,planes etc go for mechanical. all are great paths to choose as a career best of luck
