B.Tech in computer Science is surely more preferable if you want to have a good placement. Due to the increasing usage of web and everything shifting online, it is obvious that there is a need of more number of people who can work in IT sector. Hence, good placement opportunities and better salary.

Food technology is a good branch but taking Indian scenario in consideration, CSE is better.
Today CSE is in too much demand as everything is becoming digital while, on the other hand, Food Technology domain is confined and even the job opportunity is less in this field.

It totally depends on your college. But, I talk about future, the field of food technology is growing vastly. In foreign countries, food technologist are of high demand due to packaging food. The need of packaged foods are increased day by day, due to busy life of people. Market of food can never be down. Whereas, robots are taking place of human to work on computers.
