You should choose the branch that interests you. If your interest is in CSE then you shall go for B.Tech in CSE.

All the branches are good in engineering. None of them is good or bad. It depends on your interest and skills.

If you are not interested any field like as mechanical, computer, civil, electronic or electrical then do not choose engineering field. Engineering field is very competitive nowadays.

No stream is the best or the worst. It's how you do it. You do well in any field and you'll get the best offers that domain has to offer. All the best.

As you know, computer science is a vast field. Today is the era digitalization. CS has jobs but lots of competition too and if you are willing for government jobs, then go for core branches like civil, mechanical, electronics, etc. Because CS has less opportunities for government jobs.

In IITs, mostly CSE is good. It gives you quick placements. But my suggestion is that all branches in IIT have equal importance. If u want opportunities then try for core branches. Else CSE.
