The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Master's degree in Science from Institutes recognised by the Government. The qualifying degrees for M.Tech in Data Analytics at IIT Dhanbad are Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics and Computing, or equivalent.
