At the initial stage, you can depend on your parents for counselling.
  • Dear Dhanush,
We need few more details to get you connected with the best career counselors on Shiksha Ask and Answer. Please share your stream or desired stream (Arts, Science or Commerce) and briefly mention your interests and future plans if you have thought about this to help us guide you better. If not, you must indicate which subjects you enjoy and what kind of work you see yourself getting into. For eg: you could tell us that you enjoy Mathematics and like to be in a field that involves a lot of problem solving.

It depends on your interest in the subject and does your percentage support it? If both are successfully fulfilled then you can opt for any stream of your choice.

Hi, There are certain factors to be considered when you choose your stream.
    1. Your interests.
    2. Favourite subject.
    3. Goal.
    4. Aptitude results.
    5. Parents advise.
    6. Teachers advise.
    7. Knowledge about the streams and the career options in them. These are the basic questions you need to have an answer of. Do not rush or go in the field you friends are going in. Hope this helps. Good luck.

You look out for the options and decide where your interests are and remember to take the advice from your parents and teachers, as they might be knowing what you can do best as you are at the initial stage of higher studies.

I think you should take this decision based upon your interest and potential. You should take what you love and where you want to see yourself after 10 to 15 years.

There are pros and cons of science.
Pros are: After 12th, you can jump into commerce field as well as arts field.
Cons are: You have to work quite hard in science.
In commerce and arts field, there is vast scope.
After science, you can become a Doctor or engineer as the scope is limited.
As per your interest, you should choose your field.
    Best of luck for life
