Which stream should I opt in class 11th to become a game designer?

Now let's go into the nitty gritty on Game Design. To become a Game Designer, you must get a good knowledge of 3D software as well as preproduction. Usually in Games the environment is created in 3DSMax and Character animations in Maya, Only the models are made with less polygons and more textures. So choose a program that teaches you these software. It would not matter whether the programme is called game design programme or not. Rest, to become a level designer you must have a passion for game design. Also you must have passion for playing all kinds of games including card games, dice games, sports etc. The 3rd option is Game Design (it's different from Game Designer), where you design the game itself, i.e. what happens on each level, and how things go about as well as the base story of the game. It is a stage that you reach due to your vast knowledge and passion and even exceptional technical skills cannot help you reach. This is usually the story designer. May I ask, have you ever designed a game? Finally, to do game programming you would require knowledge of programming in which usually a BTech/MCA would help. Typically game programmers usually would be knowing C#, Java, Android besides at least a Game Engine. Hi Tanmay, There are various career options available these days. However, I would recommend that you first concentrate on your 10th standard as it is very crucial in setting up a firm foundation. Before you decide what to do after 10th std, it is important that you become aware of a critical factor for success in your chosen profession. Your exam scores are one part of it considering how competitive it is to land a seat in the hallowed campuses of the IITs and other prestigious institutions. Lack of strong understanding of the basics will hinder your ability to grasp the advanced topics that will be covered in college. For this reason alone, it is important that you take your 10th, 11th &amp; 12th studies seriously. Science, Commerce &amp; Humanities are the three streams available after 10th for 11th &amp; 12th class studies and you have to choose one of them for your further studies. Since you wish to become game designer. You can always consider a degree course, BFA (Bachelors In Fine Arts). B.F.A (Fine Arts) - Stands for Bachelor of Fine Arts. Typically, a Bachelor of Fine Arts is a three year course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2). Fine Arts is an art form which is developed mainly for aesthetics rather than practical application. Eligibility: The eligibility required for Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts is a higher seconday (10+2) pass. Usually, the course duration for this course is 3-4 years in most of the institutes and universities. Foundation and specialization course are taught in the first and remaining years respectively.
