Which stream to choose for btech mech or electrical or food tech

Abhilash, Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering. It is also referred to as the ‘mother’ branch of engineering. Another appealing feature of mechanical engineering is that the application base of this field of study is extremely broad and diverse. Almost all inventions during the ancient period and a vast majority in the modern era are direct contributions of one or the other application of mechanics. Electrical Engineering is very vast both in terms of higher studies and for immediate jobs. As the modern life is completed dependent on electrical objects, electrical engineers have a great demand in almost all fields. B.Tech in Food Technology is a Bachelor’s degree course in Food Technology. This course deals with various applications of food science like preservation, distribution, processing, selection, packaging, etc. Now . If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then of course go for Electrical or Food technology but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the field, Mech.is a very good option. Now the most important thing is the university/ college that you choose for your degree. These days we have many good government as well as private universities like IITs, IITTs, NITs, LPU, SRM, etc offering admissions in different engineering branches. Some of them offer admission just on the basis of tests like JEE and some offer you direct admission too on the basis of your marks in previous qualifying exam as well as tests conducted independently by them.
