    You have asked a nice question as the first step to prepare for the exam should be to know about the syllabus and the exam pattern.

    Generally the prelims exam consists three sections I.e. the English, reasoning and quantitative aptitude. While the main exam includes five sections English, reasoning & computer, quantitative and general awareness section.
