Which subject should I choose for applying to an assistant professor job? Can I apply for UGC NET exam?

I didn't find my related subject in the given list. I have done Masters in digital electronics and communication engineering.

    Hello, As per the UGC guidelines, the aspirants who wants to appear in the UGC NET Exam should apply for the subject in which they have pursued a master's degree. Candidates can also apply for the subject related to their master's programme. As you have completed the postgraduation in digital electronics and communication, you can apply for UGC NET Electronics Sciences. The National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC NET Exam for selecting the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for awarding Junior Research Fellowship.     You can choose subject according to your stream and your interest, and yes, of course, you can apply for UGC NET.
