Which subject should i choose in BA (Hons)english if i want to become an IAS officer?

My percentage in 12th is 78% and i have passed 12 this year only n my marks in english are 88 out of 100 and i m vry much intersted in english!i lov reading newspapers.fr knowledge gain nd to explore new words!

    Hi Sunidhi,
    To become an IAS officer you have to appear in Civil Service Exam.
    The Civil Service Examination is organized by UPSC every year to recruit candidate for IAS, IPS etc.
    You can choose any subject as per your interest.
    Subjects like Public Administration and History can be chosen.
    Along with this, you need to have a command on General Knowledge and latest current affairs.
    The Civil Services Examinations are held in two phases - the first is called the CSAT which replaces the Preliminary Examination (Prelims). This has 2 papers - the general studies and general aptitude paper.The second Main Examination (Mains). After that, there is

    To appear in UPSC examination, you can opt for any subject as per your interest, as you will be having option to select subjects in Mains examination of UPSC. You can go for Geography, Public administration, History. But you must have good command on General Knowledge and to have good command over GK you will have to do continuous study. You can start reading at least two news paper The Hindu, and The Mint will be good to read. You should also continuously read Yojna, Frontline, and Pratiyogita Darpan.
