2 years agoMy dear candidate, I'm glad to have you. Your preparation for the IAS Exam will be greatly impacted by your choice of the most appropriate stream. It makes sense that the strategy you take to the subject and subsequently, the exam counts more than the stream. In addition to the General Studies, the list of optional subjects that UPSC offers includes a sizable majority of subjects from the stream of the Arts. -
Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Opting for the most suitable of the streams does play an important role in your preparation for the IAS Exam. It is quite logical that its your approach towards the subject (and hence, the Exam itself) that counts more rather than the stream. Apart from the General Studies, a considerable majority of the subjects from the stream of Arts are also included in the list for the Optional Subjects that UPSC allows to choose from. The subjects listed below, offered by the stream of Humanities are also allowed to be opted for the Optional Subject Papers by UPSC. History
Political Science
Economics
Geography
Sociolo...more -
What do you want to know? I cannot understand your question.
If you are asking about the optional subject in civil services then it depends on your interest if you are good at maths then opt for the same. The sam goes for geography and history.
It's all about your interest.
